Alon Pinkas Kicks Donald Trump and Netanyahu's asses.
CNN: “Alon Pinkas formerly served as the Israeli Consulate General to the U.S. and joins us from Tel Aviv live.”
ALON PINKAS: “If we’re going to have five, six, ten more nights like last night people will question the wisdom of this entire war.
People will ask, What exactly is the political objective? and people will be asking, Why has all this settled into a cyclical status quo? meaning Israel is attacking targets during the day and Iran is launching salvos of missiles during the night.
Yet Iran’s nuclear program has not been eliminated.
If this status quo settles in, then the national psyche will change, obviously.”
“Iran is not next door - unlike Gaza or even Lebanon. Iran is a thousand miles away.
And to sustain an aerial campaign a thousand miles away when aircraft are carrying both fuel and very heavy munitions payloads, that’s a very difficult thing and Israel doesn’t have thousands of jets.”
CNN: “What do you think is Israel’s end game right now? Is it still about dismantling Iran’s nuclear program or has it evolved to something much bigger?”
ALON PINKAS: “Supposedly Israel’s aim here was a pre-emptive strike against Iran’s nuclear program, which was on the precipice of breaking out from being a threshold state into a nuclear state in a matter of weeks or months.”
But there was another issue here - the nuclear talks that were going on in Oman that President Trump engaged Iran in.
Israel thought that if nuclear negotiations proceed, it’ll essentially be going back to the Obama agreement of 2015.
With all the bluster and I’m a great dealmaker and I’m the great Donald Trump nonsense, this deal would have gone back to the deal Obama made in 2015 and that Trump abandoned in 2018.
Bear in mind that Israel cannot eliminate Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
I believe Netanyahu’s political objective was to drag the U.S. into the war.
The bad news is this is Donald Trump. Trump said he could stop the war in Ukraine. Guess what? He didn’t.
He said he could stop the war in Gaza. And guess what? Six months later and it didn’t.
If you haven’t noticed, Trump says two different things every day.
He says the war must stop - then he says, “Sometimes two nations just have to fight it out and more war is coming.
So which Donald Trump are you going to pay attention to here?
It’s very difficult. It’s almost impossible to analyze this rationally.”
Israel and the U.S. presuppose that Iran does not enjoy any right to become a nuclear-armed nation.
Israel is in possession of the largest, illegal, undeclared nuclear weapons stockpile in world history and remain in violation of int’l law and refuses to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Israel and the U.S. propagate the Israeli lie that Muslims and Arabs hate us because we’re Jews and won’t stop until they kill all the Jews.
Iran and Palestinians have repeatedly stated since 1948 that the reason Muslims and Arabs fight Jews has nothing to do with Israeli religous preferences, but has everything to do with the fact that Israeli Jews kill, kidnap and imprison Palestinians and steal Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian land because Israelis believe all Muslims and Arabs are simply troublemaking squatters living on borrowed time and Jewish land “from the river to the sea.”
