“There were four pages there. There were 70 names listed on there, almost entirely Democratic lawmakers and people involved in the abortion issue, on the side of abortion rights. So that’s the background on who this guy decided to target.”
“He went and targeted Senator John Hoffman, who is the Senate chair of the Senate Services Committee.
Sen. Hoffman and his wife Yvette were at home, their daughter Hope was with them, they were shot six and five times respectively; Mrs. Hoffman was shot more because she literally dove in front of their daughter Hope - Hope is an adult but she has spina bifada and was at home with her parents there.
Maybe her life was literally saved by her mother, Yvette Hoffman. Both of them have been in surgery and gotten out.”
Law enforcement officials are searching for 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter in the shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses early Saturday morning.
Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman was shot and killed at her Brooklyn Park home, according to a report from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. Her husband Mark was shot at the home and died at the hospital. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were shot and wounded roughly 5 miles away at their home in Champlin. Both lawmakers were members of the Democratic Party, representing the northwest corner of the Twin Cities.
According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Boelter stands at 6-foot-1, weighs roughly 220 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen Saturday morning in Minneapolis, wearing a light-colored cowboy hat, dark long-sleeve shirt, light pants and carrying a dark bag.
