Tony Blinken Press Conference, Cairo, Egypt
Blinken says Israel must not re-occupy Gaza and recognize a path to a two-state solution (video)
Once again, the U.S. showed up on the set with bombs in one hand and food boxes in the other hand, yelling “Israel must root out Hamas” but in a more kinder, gentler way.
It’s the heighth of state-sponsored war crimes and atrocities.
It’s the U.S. State Dept. thinly-veiled attempt at humanitarianism while literally supporting, funding and arming state-sponsored war crimes against the Palestinian people.
That would be like US forces showing up in Nazi Germany in World War Two and passing out food boxes to Nazi concentration camps while trucking in loads of Zyklon B gas to Nazi headquarters.
That would be like Eisenhower asking Hitler, Could you be a sweetheart and stop gassing Jews? ….but just keep them under wraps as you have been and everything’s cool. We don’t mind you occupying their souls and buttholes, but if you could tone down the mass murdering of men, women and children, that’d be great.
“There’s an urgent need to surge and sustain humanitarian assistance for Gaza.
Children should not be dying of malnutrition in Gaza are anywhere else for that matter.
100% of the population of Gaza is experiencing severe levels of acute food insecurity.
We cannot, we must not allow that to continue.
The ceasefire we’re working on would be the best, most immediate way to surge humanitarian assistance into Gaza, but not the only way.
We need to surge and sustain the humanitarian assistance across land, across sea, across air.
The land crossings are the most critical means of getting aid to those in need.”
Israel needs to do more. Tomorrow I’ll be talking to our partners about coordinating efforts.
There are more than a million people in Rafah.
A major ground operation there would mean more civilian deaths, it would worsen the humanitarian crisis…there is a better way to deal with the threat posed by Hamas.”
Blinken named the principles he laid out in Tokyo:
*Gaza cannot be used as a platform for terrorism;
*There can be no displacement of its population;
*There can be no re-occupation by Israel.
This requires a path to two states with real security guarantees for Israel.”
