U.S. Avoids Voting For Ceasefire Again! - WTF?U.N. Security Council passes resolution calling for Gaza cease-fire
The resolution, backed by 14 nations including Russia and China, demands an immediate cease-fire during the month of Ramadan and the release of all hostages. USA OPPOSES A CEASEFIRE, PERIOD.
Ron: “Now that the U.N. has passed a United Nations resolution ordering a ceasefire from Israel and Hamas, you can bet that Israel will never engage in a ceasefire under any circumstances.
Israel has a long, violent history of being the NUMBER ONE VIOLATOR of U.N. resolutions - 77 U.N. resolutions violated since the formation of Israel in 1948.
Israel will claim that Hamas is not observing the ceasefire, therefore Israel will not be observing the ceasefire either.
Hostages? Are you kidding me? Netanyahu and Israeli officials could care less about the damn hostages and have indicated so. If Netanyahu wanted the return of the hostages, he would simply trade Palestinian prisoners locked up in Israeli jails and prisons to gain the return of the hostages.
Hamas has offered to trade hostages and end hostilities - if Israel will truly end the hostilities.
But that’s the disgusting point: Israel doesn’t want hostages or peace.
What Netanyahu, Israeli officials and a majority of Israeli voters want is to maintain Israel’s Occupation and blockades of the Palestinian territories indefinitely, without regard to the plight of the Palestinian people; without regard to human suffering, abject poverty and 90% unemployment - all imposed by Israel via Israel’s military blockade of Gaza by land, sea and air.
Bi-partisan American Zionists like Joe Biden, Tony Blinken and Mike Johnson have been selling the HUGE LIE that Israel just wants peaceful co-existence with the Palestinians, but the “Bad Palestinians” won’t stop fighting for Palestinian freedom from Israeli Occupation, blockades and mass imprisonment.
President Biden recently said he supports a ceasefire, but that’s a lie as Biden has continued to give Israel our American bombs, bullets and billions to Netanyahu as fast as Biden and our bi-partisan ZioCongress can get them out the door.
A majority of Israelis OPPOSE statehood for the Palestinian people.
A majority of Israelis OPPOSE sending food trucks into Gaza.
The evidence shows that Israel does NOT seek peaceful co-existence with Palestinians.
The evidence shows that Israel wants and expects Palestinians to suffer and die.
The fact is Zionism is a racist ideology that Israeli Zionists use to justify the subjugation, mass murder and mass imprisonment of millions of Palestinians.
Israeli officials and a majority of Israelis believe Palestinians are an inferior race unworthy of freedom and statehood, unworthy of human rights and human dignity, unworthy of water, food, medicine and electricity.
Americans suffer extreme normalcy bias when it comes to the Israelis.
Americans have generally assumed that Israelis were like Americans; but now people are finding out that Israelis OPPOSE equality for all and statehood for the Palestinians; but instead prefer MORE OF THE SAME! ANOTHER 75 YEARS OF ISRAELI OCCUPATION, BLOCKADES, MASS MURDER, MASS IMPRISONMENT, POVERTY AND GENERATIONAL HOPELESSNESS.
(WASH POST) The resolution, backed by 14 nations including Russia and China, demands an immediate cease-fire during the month of Ramadan and the release of all hostages.
Four previous cease-fire resolutions had failed, including one proposed by the United States on Friday.
The American abstention is likely to further strain U.S. relations with Israel amid sharp disagreements over Israel’s planned military offensive in Rafah.
The United Nations Security Council on Monday passed its first resolution calling for a Gaza cease-fire after four failed attempts.
The United States abstained, allowing it to pass.

WASHINGTON POST:
Israel has told the United Nations that it will no longer approve food convoys to the north by UNRWA, the U.N. agency that distributes most aid to Palestinians, the agency’s chief said over the weekend.
“This is outrageous & makes it intentional to obstruct lifesaving assistance during a man made famine,” Philippe Lazzarini, head of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency, wrote on X.
The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the arm of Israel’s Defense Ministry charged with coordinating aid into Gaza, did not respond to a request for comment.
But on Saturday, Israel denied restricting aid to Gaza, accusing UNRWA and other U.N. groups of failing to deliver the aid to Gazans.
World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Israel’s decision amounted to “denying starving people the ability to survive” and called for it to be “urgently” reversed amid warnings the enclave faces an imminent famine.
UNRWA estimates that about 250,000 people are in northern Gaza and Gaza City, although its ability to support and gather data for those areas is “severely restricted” by the conflict.
“The ongoing hostilities, evacuation orders issued by [Israeli security forces], and the constant need for safer locations have resulted in people being displaced multiple times,” the agency said in its latest humanitarian update.
U.N. chief António Guterres expressed support for UNRWA on Monday during a news conference in Amman, Jordan. He said the agency was “the one ray of light for millions of people” who depended on its aid, and he urged countries to “keep the one-of-a-kind services that UNRWA provides flowing, because that keeps hope flowing.”
Meanwhile, Congress voted early Saturday to strip hundreds of millions of dollars from the U.N. agency, in a blow to its work in the region.
The United States, along with several other countries, suspended funding for UNRWA in January after Israel alleged that about a dozen of the agency’s 13,000 Gaza employees participated in Hamas’s cross-border attack on Oct. 7.
Israel has maintained for years that UNRWA operates in a state of “mutual dependence” with Hamas. U.N. officials vehemently deny such assertions, and Israel has not publicly disclosed evidence to support its allegations about UNRWA workers’ involvement in the attack or its claims that the group has been infiltrated. Israel made its accusations about Oct. 7 in an intelligence dossier shared with foreign governments and the U.N.
